This nationally significant historic garden is the earliest surviving residential work of renowned landscape architect Beatrix Farrand. The Wild Garden, surrounding the more formal Walled Garden, celebrates Farrand's legacy as an early champion of native plants. Featuring more than 160 species arranged in bold drifts, its 7,000 perennials were installed with the help of dozens of volunteers in 2024. Visit to experience our wild plants up close, or join as a volunteer to gain hands-on experience.
