Wildr helps you find the plants that bring your yard to life: the species that local birds, bees, and butterflies depend on. It focuses mostly on native plants, so it isn’t a catalog of everything at the garden center. If you’re looking for a non-native ornamental, it’s probably not here.

You’ll also find some invasive and introduced species. They stay hidden unless you search for one by name; you may be surprised by how many invasive plants are commonly found in yards and even in nurseries!

“Native” gets more exact once we know where you are. On its own, it means native somewhere in the lower 48 (we are working on expanding to the rest of North America). With location, it narrows to what’s native to your county, ecoregion, and state.
