Wildr Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

Wildr Platform LLC (“Wildr,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

1. Overview

Wildr helps homeowners and organizations support biodiversity through educational tools and habitat recommendations. We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

We collect your name, email address, login credentials, and profile photo (optional).

Property and Location Information

To generate biodiversity recommendations, Wildr may collect your exact property address (optional but required for certain features), city or region, habitat features you add, and photos of plants or property. Your exact street address is never publicly displayed. Providing a property address is optional, but creating a Plan, Place, or profile requires a location.

Device Location (Optional)

If you allow it, Wildr may access your device location to autofill your property location and improve recommendation accuracy. You can deny or disable location access at any time in your device settings. Wildr does not track location in the background.

Public Profile Information

Profiles are private by default. Only if a user actively chooses to make their profile public may other users see their name or handle, photos and habitat features, organization information, city or general region, and Wildr score or related metrics.

Public profiles may be searchable within the Wildr app. Wildr does not intend to make profiles searchable through external search engines.

Automatically Collected Information

We may collect device type and operating system, app usage activity, IP address and general location derived from IP, and performance diagnostics.

Communications Information

If enabled, we may collect email communications, notification preferences, and phone number for login or verification. SMS messages are used for verification only unless a user explicitly opts in to additional notifications or marketing.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to operate the Service, generate plant and habitat recommendations, improve product features, develop automated recognition or recommendation tools, communicate with users, and prevent fraud or misuse. Wildr may generate anonymized and aggregated insights about biodiversity, habitat adoption, and platform impact.

4. How We Share Information

Wildr does not sell personal information.

Information may be shared with other users only if you choose to make your profile public, with service providers such as hosting, analytics, and communications vendors, with third-party scientific data sources used by the platform, and with legal authorities if required by law. Wildr may publish aggregated, anonymized insights that do not identify individuals or specific properties.

5. Data Retention

Wildr retains information while your account is active. After account deletion, personal data is deleted within a reasonable timeframe. Backups may persist temporarily. Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely. Some data may be retained if required by law.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You may request to access your data, correct your data, delete your data, receive a copy of your data, and opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@wildr.app. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days.
